She is having over 25 years experience in Special Education, Social Work and Professional Education. She is the Founder President of SVK Shikshan Sanstha (an NGO working to empower Intellectually Challenged Adults). She is recipient of Mothers Teresa Excellence Award, Bharat Shiksha Ratan Award, Dhyeyapurti Award, Super Woman-2020 Award etc
